i'm about to pick up the vanagon... battery dead.... no brakes....

STI short block shipped out to LIC motorsports...

yup!~ we've seen that site.

now i leave it up to mr. conversion (adam of LIC motorsports) to show me the light!

at this point i have the 2.5 short block and the vanagon (hopefully i have the harness aswell).

Question for Adam at LIC (or anyone else who might know). I am looking to buy an EJ25 from a 2001 Impreza RS to put into my Vanagon. The guy is planning on using his wiring harness for his WRX conversion, so I will need to get a wiring harness elsewhere. Do you know what other years/cars will have a compatible wiring harness as a 2001 RS?

Mike,

You will need to use a MY00 and up harness and ECU due to the MAP sensor equipped motor. MY99 and down use a MAF sensor so they wont work.

I may have a MY00 harness around here somewhere in a box, but it will be cut-up since it was removed for a conversion. But on the bright side, it will only be from the ECU to the motor, which is all you really need.
