Trunk wont open from inside! Help!
Trunk wont open from inside! Help!
I cant open the trunk using the release lever inside the car. I pulled it up all the way, but the trunk doesnt pop open, I'm scared that the lever would snap if I pulled any harder. I can still open it using the key, and I made sure it's not at the "cancel" position. What's going on?

i had a similar problem, once it was in the cancel position, another time i had to reposition the latch to be a little higher (the part connected to the car, not the trunk) and that fixed it with no problem all better

yeah its just one of the "problem areas" of the car. not a big deal if your "key lock" isnt on, but if it is on and your latch isnt working, then you are screwed and you have to climb into the trunk to "unlock" it and climb back out to open it.

I've experienced the same difficulty opening the trunk using the release lever. I played with the cancel switch and got it to work pretty well. Haven't had a problem since. I guess this is common with the '04's.

There is a little lever on the left side of the latch on the trunk lid its self. If it’s up you can use the remote from inside the car, if it’s down you can’t. Maybe the other way around, I don’t know… Did you try that? If I had a didi cam I would show you but I’m poor white trash, sorry.

All my stickers are in my trunk out of site, including all the badges 
I only have one on the car I put a Small AWD from the WRX in the center bottom rear of the back window.
