Exclamation My Car Wont Open!

Anyone have any clue why my car will not open? I pressed on my remote key and it wont open, and I even used my back up set which is brand new. I still see the security light in the car blinking inside the dash. Please help! I need some legit feedback.

my car is acting up too, bought a new small battery for the remote.. and still no worky.. so I tried to go into panic mode *hold lock for 2-3 secs* and my car locks.. no alarm. I try the unlock mode but holding it down instead of tapping it.. it finally unlocks.. good luck..

check the batteries, or quit being lazy and put the key in the door and turn it.

thought valet mode disables the locks and the alarm but keeps the light blinking.

Valet mode disables the alarm, but not the locks, why would you want to disable the locks?

sounds like you might need to "sync" the remote with the car again...

not sure if this crosses over from the Honda world, but there was a way to do it manually without needed to go to the dealer.

Is this an aftermarket alarm system? What kind and who installed it? Could be as simple as a bad/loose ground wire in the system.

Valet mode disables the alarm so that the valets don't set it off accidentally, but still allows them to lock the doors for safety of your vehicle.

If possible the OP should get the system checked out, I know mine is quirky sometimes and takes a few presses to lock/unlock. Sometimes, even when the audible alert (honk/beep when you lock/unlock) is activated, it wont honk, even though it has locked and the lights flash.
