On a 02/03 WRX, you can put your remote keyless entry into "audible mode (Horn honks when arming/disarming)" or "silent mode(no horn honking)" by unlocking your car, then pressing and holding both the Lock AND unlock buttons on the remote for about 5 seconds. You will hear the horn beep once for "audible mode" and twice for "silent mode."

Also, all 02/03 (not sure on newer models) WRXs come from the factory with 2 maps loaded into the ECU....one for an AT, and one for an MT. When reflashing the ECU (ECUTek), you can overwrite the map that you are not using (Depending on your tranny, AT or MT) and reflash it with 2 different maps for 91 octane and one for race gas, OR a high boost and low boost map. Whichever you choose. THEN to switch between maps, you have to turn your key to the ON position (NOT ACC and engine NOT running), press the gas pedal to WOT and hold it, Press the REAR defroster button, Release gas pedal from WOT, Press the REAR def. button again, and the maps are switched. (I am currently running a high boost map @ 18 PSI and a low boost map @ 9 PSI for valet or GF mode.)
**DO NOT SWITCH MAPS IF YOU HAVE NOT REFLASHED BOTH OF THEM IN THE ECU!!!!!!!! Running a AT map on an MT car (or vice versa) WILL cause MAJOR DAMAGE to your ENGINE/TRANNY**

when S-Squared tuned my car they informed me of that, and they reflashed both of the maps for me....but it makes sense if you think about it, that way Subaru can save money by only needing to make one ECU for all the WRXs regaurdless of what tranny the car has. They simply activate whichever map they need depending on which tranny the car has.
Edit: Normal mode/valet mode is a common reflash for people that dont track their cars alot or dont need a race gas map, but the AT/MT maps are in there from the factory.
