Power loss

I just recently got my car back from its 30K service. Actually 34K due to time constraints. My problem is I now notice a lag in the engine power from 4K to 5K rpm's. This was not occuring before. Before I take it back to the dealer and it magically doesnt perform the problem for the mechanic, has this occured to anybody at all? Suggestions?

If the dealer performed a service which disconnected the battery, the ECU resets itself to default. Your ECU will eventually re-learn the 'lost' power. Would you like to try to recover the power faster?

More so with the Subaru ECU (or ECM, as they refer to it). Theirs is a 'learning' computer, although when it encounters some bad gas and engine knock it takes a while to unlearn it.

Thanks much for the info. I'll try it this week. Does the same thing need to be performed if I upgrade the ecu? I'm just a little schetched out about this car, I love it, but it seems to have a bad luck streak. Dented fender from garage, recent broken window from wonderful virginia snow plows and now this...
