PLEASE Help WRX? Or RS 2.5

actually, I was thinking about posting something along the same lines....I am an extreme newbie to subarus, but I thought I may have heard that it is possible to make a 2.5 RS just as fast or faster than a stock wrx for not too much money....I am thinking about buying a sube, but can't really afford a wrx (and really prefer the RS body styling)
So, if the rs is single cam and the wrx is dual, what other differences are there? how slow is a 2.5 rs compared to a wrx?

Engine, rear LSD and swaybar, thats all that is vastly different performance wise.
Despite the EJ25's non-turbo factor, the engine actually has more low end torque, IE more power before 3000rpms. There is about a 1.5 second difference in the 1/4 mile times stock, while the RS weighs slightly less.
A turbo kit for an RS costs around 3000-5000 and can put the car into the high 200's to low 300's hp range easily. But it is not warrantied obviously
The best think you can do is drive each one back to back and see what you think.

I really want to get a WRX. I test drove both the WRX and the 2.5RS. I can tell you there is no comparison. People say the 2.5RS is more fun around town, I think they are wrong. People say that the WRX is a dog below 3000 RPM. Yeah, boost does not come on till 2700 RPM but its so easy to keep it above that after first launch... The WRX does not compare to the 2.5RS. I wish it did because I could get an RS right now while I need to wait a little for the WRX... And insurance is A LOT more for the WRX.

BE CAREFUL is the middle name of the good turbo shps for Subaru. And if you can afford a new WRX, get it. If you can't, get an RS. If you can't afford either, look for a used RS. That will provide you with the most immediate results and prevent headaches, which are sure to follow your mads.
