Hurry!

Oh, and, I can't drive yet; but, when I get the 98 Legacy Wagon I'll probably wave to the WRX owners below 50 lol There are a lot of old people in WRX wagons and stuff around here.

I get the wave about 50% of the time. I usually get the wave from younger guys that own a subaru. Most of the older people tend to not wave. Most of the time when I wave people give me this strange look, and then turn away also. I feel so stupid when I wave to someone and they dont respond!

Tell me what type of response you get.

All joking aside. In my area (New Hampshire) Subarus are very popular. I have tried to wave or give a thumbs up but SOME people in these parts (as my friends dad from Texas described) are "crabby" and don't respond.

What I do is:

I look at the other car with glowing admiration or I raise two fingers off my stering wheel as a mellow salute.

One guy with this nice white '02 '03 WRX saw my car, saw me looking and smiling and gave me a cool fist pump. We were at an intersection going the ooposite ways. He was first in line at the light and when it changed he showed off a little with the acceleration we all know and love.

I don't even bother with the older folks. Besides most of them can't see and need to focus on their driving anyway. It could be a safety issue if you distract them. Wouldn't it suck if you tried to wave hi and distract some old person and they get into an accident?
