Anyways, as for the name, Clutch is a little out there...how about a word a little more down to earth..
Annual Notlimah Meet (pronounced not-lee-ma) in honor of the historical site?
Or just Annual Hammy Meet?
Just read the annoucements forum, and I see whats going on, sorry for my newbness. Good luck to the site!

boxers by the bay is cool, and I actually like clutch.
I see a CAD drawing and some sick graphics coming out of that.
I'm on the same page as jeff with this. I think we've outgrown hammy and I think this can be turned in to a KILLER event. With some REAL prizes. You want your name on the shirt you kick something down. These shop/vendors we have can write this **** off as advertising expenses. Why not have people kicking stuff down like a set of wheels, tuning time, an exhaust, subaru bucks, etc. I don't see why the grand prize can't be worth something like $1500 or more. Seriously. More cars. More people. More vendors.
If you want to do a bay area ONLY event...a bbq...etc. Keep it small...then just keep it at hammy. Call it hammy...leave it the same event and limit entry.
seriously. go big or go home.

we need a name that doesn't include the location so that the meet can grow and be moved without another huge overhall like this.
I don't see why this could even be different from mt. hammy to tell you the truth. Do Mt. Hammy on a smaller scale for just the BAIC folks. Make this and "I-CLUB" meet based in the bay since i-club started in the bay...etc. NATIONAL.
if you want a bay area exclusive, like I said before. Leave it hammy. Leave it small. Or do something similar. Family bbq. I have no problem with this but I'd really like to see it go to the next level and become a national meet...at least west coast.
if we start this up and do it right i-club can carry the platform out nationally and do it like this....
west coast. Midwest. East coast.....3 meets. Then if you want to do a 4th we could do one in like vegas thats truly national. Take over the drag strip/track, etc.
This is what I see as a huge opportunity to step this up and be the true leaders of the impreza community.
New changes at the top present opportunity to make possitive changes throughout.
I-club has been lazy in my opinion (no fault of any one person). I see stickers all over the place that people have to pay for. This has to be one of the largest and most active area based car clubs of any kind in the country and the site doesn't really do much to support it....amazing.
shoot I'm in what is considered a real car club. An international club and we pay dues, put on shows...big shows...have meetings...etc.
This is too big to do that but there should be a core group of people in each region that do this. Serious.

That name brings to mind iclubbers running around throwing pingpong ***** at each other yelling "Lightning bolt!" (reference to old web vid)

Boxers by the bay....sudden images of ludicrously long clothes lines across our Bay, with boxers hanging out to dry across the lines. Whatever it's called, it needs to happen! I am already jonesing for our annual meet, so I have an excuse to cruise down to D&B (or wherever) with like 20-30 other north of the bay subies.
