Or I-club's Annual West Coast F.U. Nasioc meet.

 

They may not want to admitt it but we always have a bunch of NASIOC peeps at the event. I don't think I want to exclude anyone or any club as long as it is a Subaru Ethusiast they are welcome.

Jeff, I took your idea and just tacked on a synonym for "meet" at the end.

Its not really a west coast event... More like the bay area... *shrug*

 

Also, not really diggin' the "clutch" idea.

BAIC Annual Subaru Festival (BASF)

 

The Clutch name is okay with me, but I'd rather prefer an acronym like brucelee said.

 

Rendezvous was one of the First words I looked up in the thesaurus. I eventually came to clutch. I hate the French.

 

Daniel I'll tell you straight out, if your plans are to only organize a BAIC event, I think I am on the wrong page. I think I am in a different book for that matter. Actually I wonder if I should be doing this at all.

Uhhhh... I had no idea you wanted this to be an ENTIRE west coast meet... This IS a BAIC, and always has been a BAIC meet... We invite EVERYONE to this event, but it takes place in THE BAY AREA, and is hosted by BAIC members, and thus the name.

 

As I stated at the meeting we had, BAIC is an entity of the I-club, as is SRIC, Socal, NorCal, NWIC. I-club started here in the Bay so makes sense to keep the annual meet in the Bay. It would also make sense that since the local and founders are here in the bay area that it be organized by the Largest community in i-club the BAIC. We have the most membership/manpower. If everyone is invited why limit it to BAIC Something Something Meet.
This is in a sense where the clutch came from. As defined; an assemblage of things constituing a group. These things being all of the entities of i-club and every Subaru Enthusiast who feels inclined to hop in their ride and take a trip to the bay for the nations largest gathering of Subaru Enthusiasts anywhere. Afterall all are welcome. If i-club is going to make good on their offer to provide support for this event then it should be an i-club event. Not only should we provide a title that is more inviting for evereyone we should provide this for potential sponsors, new members, new vendors. The larger we make the more money we get, the more vendors/sponsors we get, the better we can make it in the future.

 

Let me say though, I have no problem changing the name to something like "West Coast something something", but the name "BAIC Annual Meet", or "BAM" just sounds damn cool.

 

How about we remove "BAIC" and just say Bay Area, since it's held in the bay area, but we're not referring to the BAIC chapter, just stating that it takes place in the bay area. We can call it "BAAM" Bay Area Annual Meet, or something similar.

I just like the whole acronym aspect, and an acronym starting with WC = suck. Sorry to say.
