How low should i go on my '05 Rex??
So I am about to purchase some coilovers for my wrx and am wondering what kind of set up you guys recommend?
Front slightly lower than the rear? Have them both even? :-) thanks guys!

If you want stance you might as well bag it as for driving around town with a static suspension with the car slammed to the ground sucks *** due it it being so impractical. Plus then you could really lay frame if you wanted to. Lol
However if you wanted to do a moderate drop while still having good road feel just get a good strut/spring combo. There are tons of threads about this already. Do your research and find what you like the best.

Heres a thread I started because my shocks were blown and I was gonna get oem at first but then saw many other options. All are listed in the thread with great fact/opinons on multiple setups. I ended up going with megan coilovers but don't recommend them unless you absolutely NEED height adjustment. I love them, they handle great, aren't too bumpy for me, but many people dont like them. Check out koni yellows, I've got them linked in the OP(original post). Thats what I was going to get until I wanted the height adjustability for a luxury from time to time.
Pretty sure everything you need to know is listed in the thread, just take your time and go through it. The cars look nice with little to no gap but you will run into rubbing issues unless you cut/heatgun the fender liner and roll the fenders depending on your rim/tire size.
Learn a bunch about suspension/alignment here
Here's my stance and my fronts rub when I take HARD turns, but other than that they don't rub except for on the mudflaps when I am at a slow speed like going into a parking spot or up my driveway or doing a 3 point turn. I'm actually about a 1/2 inch higher in the front because I was rubbing TOO much

^ yeah I've adjusted it, I'll send you the pic later today if I remember to take the pic. Either way, I'll update my slow build thread and shoot you the pic via pm.
brfatal knows his stuff. He's probably right on the drop height, I never measured what my drop was so I have no clue what kind of drop I've got

I would say it all depends what you want out of your drop. Do you want looks? Or functionality? If looks is what you want, throw some 18x9.5/10's, roll your fenders get some camber and slam that bad boy. If you want to be functional I'd get some good tires and a proper suspension allignment (corner balanced and all). the look of a functional drop is a lot different than "flush" look. Both are unique though and I'm sure you'll like it. Good luck!

Yeah. Ultimately, op its up to you. Do what you think looks best, but know that each look requires different parts. My suggestion is to lower it enough to lose the wheel gap, but not so much that you cant fit proper tires in there. Its very popularto go hellaflush but you lose a lot of performance and risk a lot more damage...
