Ok well i had some kind of evil bird crap on my car that left my gloss bubbly on roof of car. I tried using tar remover which i was told by everyone around here that it would not damage my paint and even said so on the spray bottle of it. Well my delimma about this problem is that it took the clumps of whatever it was off my car but it chipped the paint with it. It is not a massivly huge chip but enough to notice and bother me very bad. I took it to a bodyshops and they said it would be 400 bucks to repaint the whole roof to fix, so at this point im really pissed. My friend has a sun roof installed on his WRX and was considering putting a sun roof in myself and if i did that,they would cut the part of the roof out that had the chip. It would be nice to have it but they are asking for $1,225.00 but its not the cheap style like on civics or celicas, its the full on BMW style that is all powered and slides into roof. I have also thought about just touching it up with subaru paint and buying some Volk Ray GT-N rims and Falkin tires but that going to be no less than $1,500.00. In your opinions,whats my better investment? Please help, thank you.

 

As far as re-sale value, the rims and tires are the best investment. You can sell them separately. The sunroof won't increase your cars value. I have an annoying little chip on my roof, too. It's from punching the roof pissed off at my girlfriend, sitting in traffic. Smart, eh? I just touched it up and turboed it. Go for the R/T.
