Driving Cross Country
Soooooo, the military is asking me to move again. This time it is from Vandenberg AFB/Lompoc, to Patrick AFB/Orlando. I think I might be driving my suby the whole way.
I'm sure that there's a few of you out there who have done this before, but the closest I've ever come to this is driving from Sacramento to San Diego. I have 8 days (which I know is plenty of time), but I'm just concerned since my 02 suby has a few miles on her - 100,000 miles after a few more drives to work.
I am performing the 100k (90k + 105k service) before i leave. But my main concern is how my car will hold up. I have uppipe & downpipe, my suby is running catless. Besides that, the only other things I have are a turbo timer and a BOV.
What do you guys think?

just make sure if you are running a custom tune to find some 93 octane and get a tune for that because you will have 93 octane for more that 75% of the trip. Car should be fine and just dont over do it. I went about 2-3 hours at a time then stopped for about 30 minutes to an hour to eat and relax, plus give the car time to cool off. It took me 5 days and that was leaving at about 5pm and arriving at about 10am so you should be good with about 4 days. Make sure you map out your route and choose good stopping points and dont drive all night because you will get to tired.
good luck bro.
