Not much. The late '03s have different clutch/flywheel (to fix shudder problem on '02, which is fixed by a TSB if you need to), different ECU (extra sensor for the '03)..
uhh..
not sure what else.

Sort of depends when the 02 was made - late 02's are much closer to 03's - differences include cosmetic things (silver cover to the coolant tank vs. black for early 02, lit trim ring around key for 03's, different color badges for 03 (blue front badge and black rim around rear WRX for 03, black front and blue trim for 02), late 02's and 03's have a check valve of sorts on the clutch slave cylinder, newer 03's have different front calipers (take different brake pads), not sure if this changed in 03 or 04, but the sedan now has a 17mm rear sway rather than a 20mm one, also - not sure if this is an 03 or an 04 thing, but there is a light in the gauge cluster for cruise control now... there are a whole slew of minor transmission/flywheel changes which have been written about which occurred through the 02 model year, etc. - there are lots of little things...

.....additional pressure cap on the radiator for later model '03's.

DrD: cruise control and sway bar changes are '04.

Another '02 - '03 change is daytime running headlights.

I though they both had DRL's? my 02 certainly does...

hmm

for some reason I thought it was '03 only. Now that you mention it though, I think you're right.

I've heard about the '02 / '03 defferences regarding full boost. However, my '03 doesn't have the extra cap and I'm still able to get full boost in all gears (stock).

Well - that's definitely not true - I have an 02 wagon and it makes full boost in all gears (it's was made the last month of the 02's, though)
