whats the big differnece between the early 02 wrx transmissions, and the 03 wrx transmissions??
just wondering.. cause i have an 03 wrx with 85K and has been stage 2 for 60K or so and no tranny problems for me, but my friend just bout a 02 wrx and he is stage 2 roughly, just wondering..

Look in the engine bay theres a tranny code on the drivers side strut tower.. AA means 02 early 03s and BA is late 03-05
02s and early 03s have narrower syncros. late 03-05 have the same width as the RA gears.
My friends had his 02 now for 6 years with +100k miles stage 2 and has taken it down the 1/4 quite a few times and his is still going. Its all about how you drive it.
