Chirping noise from right rear wheel

This morning, a chiping noise starting coming from my right rear wheel, suspension or axle. I removed the wheel and did a quick look-see/prod and eyeball, but couldn't see anything wrong. The noise persisted after remounting the wheel.
The chirping gets faster relative to speed and seems directly relational to the rotation of the wheel.
Any ideas? Could this be a bearing problem, or something with the axle? Even wild *** guesses are welcome. I am worried.
Thanks so much.
