chirping exhaust
Has anybody ever noticed a chirping sound from their stock exhaust? If I tap the accelerator and get the rev's between 1000 and 1500, my exhaust lets out a chirping noise, almost like a cricket, when it gets back down to idle. Is this normal?
YAY! I'm not crazy. I have the same exact thing happening to my car at the same revs when the revs are dropping. I think it must be a loose heat shield on the midpipe or something. It started happening to my car right after I put my uppipe on. I will be putting on a HKS hi power exhaust within the week. I will let you know if that solves the problem.

Its not your heat shields. Its the rubber in the exhaust hangers. My car started doing this after the first winter I had it. Probably from road salt and watever else gets thrown around under there. A couple shots of WD-40 on all the hangers and the problem is solved.
