best intake?

I'm looking to start upgrading. Im going to start with the standard upgrades ( intake, exhaust). Lets hear some testimonials on Intakes... or if you have a webpage that compares horspower made, lets see it.

I would just stick with the stock intake with the silencer removed unles you can get to a dyno and have a utec. As far as the exhast gos, the new turbo mag. did a review of 7 turbo-backs and the turboxs seems to give the best gains.

so what part is the silencer? the part that runs up to the leading edge of the hood?

No, it's the part inside the finder well. Shaped like a big milk jug.

Interesting thread.... so, by running 'lean' as they say in the thread, and then tuning you're air fuel ratio... could you improve gas mileage? (not a very sexy tuner goal, but gas ain't cheep!)

directions from scoobymods is a little hard to understand, but maybe because i am not looking at my car as I read it
is it relativily easy?

30 minutes tops! Very easy. You don't even have to jack up your car.

i hear when the silencer is removed you can hear the turbo more and the BOV
how much more? more in the sense the guy driving next to you will look over for more than the sleek LOOK of the car?
i don't imagine it will be that much, but whats the deal?

No, not that loud. It's very quiet. You still have to listen for it.

30 min

took me aobut 40 min, and i did have to jack the car up. And take off the passenger front tire.

Turbo is MUCH LOUDER, but the nose that you hear that everyone says is the BOV is not. I have a blitz vent to atmospher blow off valve and i still hear that noise. Definetly not my blow off valve, that thing is WAY LOUD, but i dont know what it really is. Does sound like a BOV though.
