Will you be able to delete the rear spoiler on the Sti?

Wow... John must write a lot of e-mails and have a perfect memory. I got one from him and it said the same thing nearly word for word.
But actually... at least that would suggest that they are getting enough emails that they have created a standard one they put out for the wing issue.

Letter Campaign - & SOA responds
Dear Mr. Cotter:
Thank you for visiting the Subaru Web site and for your inquiry. We do not yet have the final specifications for the 2004 WRX STi. So, I do not know if the rear spoiler will be standard or optional or if another spoiler will be available for the 2004 WRX STi. We should have full specifications late this spring. Please feel free to contact us again at that time.
We appreciate that you took the time to give us your comments. We will forward them to our Product Planning Department for their future consideration. In the past, input from our owners has been helpful in initiating changes to our newer models. We hope to continually improve our products and appreciate your recommendations.
Best wishes,
John J. Mergen

YOUR ORIGINAL MAIL:
There have been a number of discussions about the 2004 STI for the US and all seem to lead to the Tail or commonly known as the Church Pew. We are not sure what your plans are as of today, but we would like to express our opinion. If it is possible, It would be nice if there was an alternative tail for buyers over 40 like myself. Like one from the RS. I am not saying we are going have the dealer refund our deposits due to this. But It would be a nice dealer swap option. Thank you for your consideration to this matter.

did anyone else notice the extra line thrown in the latter two or three responses (vs. my original post)...
"We should have full specifications late this spring. Please feel free to contact us again at that time."
Maybe too many people were writing him and suggesting the church pew spoiler be an option (or at least put an extra set of seatbelts back there for the kids), so he decided to hedge the movement off and throw a "i don't know, ask me later" type line in there. I assure you that i am over-analyzing this...just thought it was an interesting, subtle change in Subaru's official "positon" on the matter.
