I've had my car for about 3 weeks now but a few days after i got it i went to alaska for 2 weeks and came back yesterday. Now everytime the engine gets about 1000 rpm it starts making this really high pitched noise and i dont remember it doing that before i left. Is this abnormal?

 

I noticed this as well, especially in 5 and 6th gear below 4000 rpm. I believe it is the transmission, but I could be wrong. Nothing to be alarmed about.

This transmission is very stout and apparently these sounds are a by product of this over-engineering to handle the power and expected abuse.
