Okay I was driving my car home from the mountains and it started driving really rough and shut off on me. It wouldt start right away so I got a tow. We thought it could have been a spun bearing or something internal but there is no bvibration or shaking coming from it. Maybe a bad turbo? The sound is kinda squeaky and sounds almost like metal on metal rubbing coming from mid/passenger side. Checked all my fluids, they're fine. Transmission shifts fine with no grinding. Going to try draining my oil and check for metal since I don't really know where else to start. Anyone ever heard of problems like this or know what else may e wrong or what I could check? Helllp please!!!! I hope it's not toasted

Does the sound change as you rev the engine? A bearing can sound a little squeeky when it first starts going out, but usually it'll have a deep knocking noise that will increase with RPM's. You can also usually hear a bearing easier from underneath the car.
