weird noises

I need some help. I have a 2004 wrx and everytime I make a sharp turn, my car makes a katonk noise? Does anyone know where this is coming from? Or had the same problem? I recently changed only one tire on the front drive shaft and the other tire has about 60% tread left, could this be causing the noise? I have cusco zero 2r coilovers on sti wheels. Help me out please.

i don't think the tires would be making the clanking noise, though it's always suggested that you replace all tires instead of changing one.

are your strut tops torqued down to factory spec? i believe it's ~14lbs on the three nuts.

also, have you done anything with your swaybars? i was experiencing a weird clunk noise whenever i made right turns, and it turned out that one of the nuts on my rear endlink had come loose. i swapped out my endlinks and some new nylock nuts, no more clunk .

From what I have read on the forums, changing one tire is REALLY not good for your car, especially on AWD vehicles. Maybe I'm just blowing hot air, but someone else chime in?

Problem fixed. Tightened my strut tower bar to tight and the bolts cracked.
