I agree with WRC. If it was some ma-n-pa joint, I wouldn't have placed the $500 down.
At the dealership I went to, the $500 was a price to get in line (#4). But its not all a loss, it is entirely refundable if I don't like the was the STi drives. I doubt I will not enjoy the drive. As for the color, I'm not very picky. Either color is not bad. I'll take blue or white.

I finally gave in and gave them the refundable $500 deposit at MSRP or under (Silver/Silver), after they lured me in by saying they had the final pricing. Frist thing I did was check all the forums... surely someone would have said something by then if I, in east TN, was hearing about it. Sure enough no new info here so I knew it was a ploy. Still went in and saw the regional rep again, swapped what info we knew and again he agreed with everything I said; 4 colors, two wheels, no sunroof, op. stereo, and thats about it... After he originall suggested the $35k base last time he has agreed that it just makes more fiscal sense for them to offer it around $31 or $32. Still all is up in the air and speculation is our only recourse for the moment.
