wrx changer not loading properly
Just got a used 02 WRX head unit and the changer dosn't want to load properly. Takes the disk in and sounds like its searching for tracks, then ejects disk or sometimes stays in requiring manual eject. Sometimes makes cd scraping sound like cd's not properly on spindle. Odd time it will load properly, but very rare. Have tried a bunch of original cd's so I don't think its the media.
Anyone know if this is curable? Is it possible a clean and lube might help or am I out of luck? Never been inside something like this so I don't know what I'm dealing with.
TIA

Get your money back, if you can. The head unit is probably defective or broken. I know someone that had his unit replaced under warranty and the replacement still ate CDs. He finally went aftermarket.

Is this with true audio CDs? CD-Rs? CD-RW? I've heard a few cases where CD-RWs just make the the stock cd player very cranky.
