so yea i just stopped at a stoplight and this guy in a old american car asked me "So are they really fast?" (btw i have a 04 wrx AP stg2) and i didnt know what to say...he was genuine and really wanted to know. he told me he always wanted one...

i mean, i think i have about 250 on crank, but is that consider fast? im not a street or drag racer, so im not looking for big numbers. my ultimate goal is to have about 280 whp. im gonna get some smart remarks but my question is, do you guys think our cars are fast? i serious did not know how to answer the guy...

 

just say "they're fast enough"

ask people what they mean by fast. i mean, it's not muscle car, but for a 2.0L car, it is pretty quick and safe, and for the most part reliable

 

exactly.. but what they(People who dont know about subarus) can connect with/identify with is by how many cyl. your car is ... ie.. let them know its "Fast enough" like yayitzian said "For a 4 banger"

 

I'd say "It's faster than your car around a corner".

Is the car fast?
Well my old car was a '94 integra. So going from that to a wrx IMO is a big jump. Compared to my old car my wagon is considerably a lot faster and not to mention it has torque. We all know how honda is known for torque

i guess you guys are right...everything is a matter of comparison. compared to civics, the car is fast....but next to a SRT4...im not worthy...

by the way, you should have about 285 at the crank I believe

 

when people ask me if my car is fast... (Ap stg 2 03bugeye)....I say I dont know and just launch on them~ and when they pull back up... I say... was that fast enough?.
It usually is~
