Discount Tires Elmonte

Well, from my past experince with the Discount tire in El monte; I will still buy rims from them, since they do give good price. However, I will NEVER NEVER let them install those rims on my car, unless I bought a set of aftermarket wheel locks from them. Their impact gun will tied the stock wheel lock way too tie and causing problems when you want to remove it, cuz stock wheel lock can't stand the pressure like the aftermarket one does. I personally know three owners whose cars were done by them with stock wheel lock having problem when trying to remove the lock. People that I know that don't have such problem with discount tire in El monte is because they were using either aftermarket wheel locks or lugs. And YES, CL you are right, VIC will NOT take care of them in a near responsible manner. (Maybe only if you bought more than 5 set of rims from him).
Oh one more thing about VIC. He is a nice guy when you want to buy rims and tires or get service from him. However, after you close the deal, he become a total ***. He won't bother to explain any thing to you, and very impatient when you ask questions. Again, that ONLY happen and when you CLOSED the deal.

i'll post my story about Vic, i bought rims and locking lugnuts, got my rims insalled, drove an hour to get home noticed they werent locking lug nuts, checked my car nothing inside, they kept my old lug nuts (which were locking as well juss silver instead of black) i had too call them and they said they'd ship em out too me right away, well 2 months later and about 10 calls askin where they at. i fianllly recieved them. tey have good prices but thee always acting to busy to help you or answer questions so i give them 2 thumbs down as customer service goes
Man,
After reading all this i feel i am lucky to get out of their store alive. Just had them install some BBS RGR's with aftermarket wheel locks. However i was bothered when the tech pulled my car out of the bay and took it for a test drive around the parking lot.

They did that with my car too. The guy took it for a spin, but i mean, he was within sight. I'm the paranoid type so I'm always looking at what people do with my car. Even if they're "professionals". I'm just really curious so I tend to observe a LOT. Even with my mechanic. I trust him with my life, known him for years! But I observe him to learn stuff.
Haha. So my advice, don't get in the way, but always be mindful of what's going on with your car; even during services.
