haven't had any problem with my Tilt so far other than that they don't provide graphic driver for it but it's not a big deal to me.

And plus, I'm sure this is for new activations. Whereas, I'm upgrading extending my contract.

Odds are you don't need to be in person to sign up. Things are done via email and over the net now a days.

If you can buy a car over the internet, you can get a cell phone as well.

if speed and internet isn't a MUST have i say stick with tmobile since you are happy with them.
the att $35 bb plan comes with unlimited internet and 200 text messages. $50 comes with unlimited internet and messaging, or $30/mo for unlimited internet only.

my messaging is separate from data. one of the reasons i cancelled my blackberry plan. they only had one blackberry plan when i signed up and that was $30 for internet only, no messaging. i added the mediamax200 instead that comes with unlimited internet and 200 msgs. i just checked my features and they don't have this option anymore. they also used to have a mediamax unlimited that had unlimited internet and messaging for $30~35/mo.

the drawback is that all the bb apps (maps, bb email, gmail app, bb msging) don't work and i can only use the internet through the medianet browser (or opera), which works fine for me. most websites have a mobile version and i check my gmail through the medianet browser.

i have the bb pearl through att and i pay $39.99 for the 450 anytime/5000 nights and weekends plus $19.99 for the unlimited internet + 200 msg plan = <$65/month

if you need a pickup in norcal, let me know.
