So hard to find. $750.

Based on that (I'd confirm ratios, just in case)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2016-SUBARU...dZ42eF&vxp=mtr

$650.

Additionally, the "$400-$500" for a diff is from 4+ years ago. You have a limited number of donor vehicles, more are wrecked and rehomed every day - demand is a mother.

If I remember correctly, I paid $600 for my HX 06 STi R180.

Those are both VA Diffs. I'm not sure that the VAs were 3.9. I've also come across information that they are Viscus, not clutch.

Subaru is conflicting.

They show the whole thing as 3.9
https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_20...7011AB320.html

But if you check just the gearset, it's 3.5
https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_20...8104AA270.html

I only know that 04 and 05 are what I want for sure.

Reality, a Cusco LSD for R160 is $1200. If I can find a clutch type R180 for less than $1000, I'd consider that a win.

In other news, looking into home-making some aero bits. 4' x 8' sheet of 10mm alumalite is about the same price (within $10) of a 4' x 8' sheet of 3/8" ABS.

Better for front splitter? And go!

ABS is not good for splitter.

I hear birch is good. Even better for first time around IMO.

My splitter making experience has not been great. So far, I've been using aluminum. Next round, I'm going to use birch. If that's good, then alumalite.

Go with balsa wood...lightweight and easily replaced...
