I recently switched to the dish network. When i cancelled my cable from comcast they wanted to charge me almost double for dsl internet access. They said it was a special rate only if you had cable. wtf. They were trying to convience me to keep my cable and internet for the same price. Stupid idiots! So screw them i cancelled both internet and cable.

 

Comcast is, IMO, the worst company ever. I hate them and I hated them when they were AT&T. Their customer service people are rude and incompetent and their management staff are ******.

When my fiance and I bought our house, I set up an appointment to have AT&T come out on the day we moved in to hook up cable TV and internet. Day of the appointment arrives and nobody shows. I'm too busy moving to worry about it, so I call them Monday (we moved on a Saturday). They say that all their appointments are booked and they can't have anyone out for two weeks, even though it was THEIR screw up that caused me to not get service. I told them to go to hell and had Dish Network out the following day.

I'm with Surewest now, and they're pretty good. Good rates and service, people are usually pretty knowledgeable and their internet service rocks.
