I was at Target tonight with my g/f trying to get some soap and some other bath items when I notice a rack of cabbage patch kids. My g/f was like "cool they came back" and started looking through the stacks upon stacks of these the dolls when she noticed something kind of odd. All the black cabbage patch kids were placed in the back and all the white ones where in the front. I was like WTF? So she starts going through the stacks and showing me that all the white dolls were in front so everyone could see them and the black dolls were in the back out of sight. I asked myself “Was this just a coincidence or did the Target employee put the black ones in the back for a reason.” "Did this person do this without knowing what he/she was doing?" What do you guys think?

Since I work at target, I have to say nobody knows what the **** they are doing when zoning isles Usually there is like only one person in the toy AND seasonal isles (at least at my store) and only in the closing shift who fixes isles like that every night... So you tend not to care about things like that. However, it could have also been how the boxes were like upon taking the items out of the box because 99% of the time everyone is just rushing to get stuff onto the shelf, OR it could have been a guest who rumaged through them, it all depends... I do know that that endcap isnt selling very well at my store, so it probably hasnt been touched much by anyone.

The interesting thing about zoning (the term for fixing items on the shelf properly) is that most people tend to do it by patterns when done right... Either by color, shape, or whatnot, because you notice something out of place easier that way. I do tend to like to zone the action figure isle, and get all of the same kind of figures on the same pegs, but you cant believe how much freakin time it takes to get it all perfect like that, its just insane... But depending on the LOD (super) they may want it 100% perfect, or just want it 90% perfect, it all depends really. I can tell you that no one will ever notice that or care unless you fix it yourself as a guest

I would have to say you're reading too much in to it. This is likely more a result of laziness than a result of racism.

When I worked at Best Buy in high school, our LP (loss prevention) guys would make a 'best of' video tape of the hottest chicks that came into the store.

They also made one of the stupidest people trying to steal things, which was also very amusing.

Our TPS/AP (LP) hasnt had an arrest in like 8 months, its sad... And there is ths one guy who steals stuff all the time who I just want to club with one of our baseball bats
