no companies are willing to start new refineries becauses the ROI isnt what it used to be.

figure it costs 100billion to make one and takes 10 years.... but at the rate we are cutting gasoline demand....

And it's not just US drilling companies getting rights to drill, it's anyone, right? So we are selling the right to companies from other countries to drill on our soil and then sell us back our own oil?

you clearly dont understand what a free market is. even if we dont allow foreign companies to drill in the US..... we still dont get the oil.

No, I understand, I was just saying what oil they do decide to sell us will be our own oil. I understand that you think China will buy it all anyway.
