that sux. I ran around with 5% all sides and back on my other car since May and never had a problem(couldn't see **** at night but it looked nice and was a lot more comfortable in the summer) , in fact that was the car I was in when I got yanked on this ticket I'm going in for and the officer didn't say anything about tint. I think I got my windows about half-way down before he saw me.

 

ive had it for almost a year and a half no so ifigured i was due. front windows were 35 or 40, i ferget. im jsut gona get my prescription

 

wtf? 35 or 40 is like stock front tint on lux vehicles. Legally you can go as dark as you want on anything behind the driver's seat as long as you have side mirrors and then you could go as low as either 20 or 30% on the front door windows.

no you can't... you can't have anything less then 90%.. might even be 98% i forget.... and no it's not stock front tint on lux vehicles, they don't have a tint film on their windows

 

its 75%. factory glass is 75% VLT. no windows front of the driver are allowed to have after market tint

 

There is a 'sneaky' way around it though .... The law states nothing about "tinted glass"... all it says is a film, or cover

70% on the first 3 windows... driver/passenger and front shield.

aka...clear glass.

 

Yup, I just checked it on DMV too. (sorry, thought it was ok for darker, but yeah....) 75% on the front side windows and dark as you want on anything behind the driver so long as there is a pass. side mirror.

perscription ftw here I guess.
