Wow... so I just updated to v1.2 on my Blue-Ray player, it now plays Spiderman 3 flawlessly(or atleast so far *knocks on wood*).... Right now I only have 300 on HD-DVD to compare to, but I got to say I think Blue-Ray might actually have a better picture....

However the HD-DVD player itself is much more responsive, it feels like a normal DVD player. While the Blue-Ray still seems buggy or something

Bluray runs java for it's interface. HD dvd uses som MS stuff. Could also be that developers aren't used to stuff yet. Both formats are capable of realy good video and sound. Just depends on how much effort the studios want to put into it. So comparing two different movies is hard to do.

Harry Potter is out on both formats. not sure how good they are though.

Ya that's sort of what I figured about comparing two different movies. Especially since 300 doesn't have very vibrant colors, it has that filter over the entire thing. I only watch HD channels so it's not as noticeable to me. I need to pick up transformers in H.D. and the BBC Planet Earth... I'll probably snag them both after work tomorrow. I might go rent a movie that is on both formats to see how the sound/quality compares between the two. It just takes awhile for the Blue-Ray player to boot up and load the CD, while HD-DVD is almost instantaneously.

I just finished Disk 3 on band of brothers... My god this series seriously is ****ing amazing :RockOn - not mine:
