There is a 2-way map feature with ECUTek for some models. You could do a daily driver and a race map. I'm not sure exactly but to switch maps you turn on the defrost and hit WOT or something like that.

You never know maybe it could happen. ECUTEK has to go against the StReEtTuneRz software.

I know cob only has maps for vf34's and 22's.

:rotfl: hahaha classic.
Cobb has some premade AcessPORT maps for the ordinary WRX that are made for a turbo or two. STi owners only have two basic maps.

The StreetTUNER (or ProTUNER map for a regular AccessPORT) is a custom reflash that handle whatever turbos the stock ECU tables can support (similar limits as EcuTek).

Like mentioned earlier by Ali G, that is only available for the 02/03. What I am talking about is what Random wanted. Several different maps, tuned specifically for a different setting, and not have the limitations of the Cobb or have the problems of the UTEC. I don't know if that's what the Street Tuner is supposed to be but it's still based off of the Accessport.

*EDIT* Everybody got to what I was trying to say faster.

ECUtek is working on a solution for a similar handheld device for userflashing of custom maps.

They haven't put a relase date out yet, but they aren't Cobb and they typically don't announce new products a year or two before they are ready to be released.

I'm not really sure, honestly. I think you could configure it as a valet map if you wanted. The next time I'm down there and getting the car on the dyno I may request something like that. My car is rarely valet though..

How about a stop and go traffic map? Low boost, rich afr, cool operating temp etc.

the way i had it explained to me is that the ecu has 2 maps because the automatic cars are different than the manuals. nate was able to get good spool and boost out of my auto by running it on the manual boost map. or i could just be talking out of my ****.

yea, if you can't get the optimal mix of fuel and air it's not gonna run at the optimal level.

But when you get the perfect mix we call that Optimal Primal.
