Hey so yea I had the perrin dp and I loved it. Something about a divorced dp makes me get the chills( in a good way).
Invidia makes a good dp too but it's a bit on the $$$$ side.

Unless you're a baller, then get a JDM setup by all means.
I do like how the perrin TBE's sound.

speaking of flames, my car shot out a flame on the dyno. at first i didnt believe my freakin eyes and asked Nate about it, and he said that its possible. the reason why i didnt think it was possible was because my catback is 2.5" most of the way, i have a resonator, and my muffler is supposed to be one of the quiter exhaust. although its still straight through, its got some baffle.

Whats the story with the Ported & Polished Heads w/ 1mm Oversized Valves? Did you do this yourself? It seems to have given you an earlier peak WHP level than the stock heads. You = 207 @ 5750, me = 212 @ 6500. And your peak torque seems really late in the rpm range, I'm curious to see your dyno graph. My torque hits early, 185 @ 3750 but tapers off before your 5750 rpms. I wonder if thats the heads making the difference (better flow?)

Post that dyno sheet man! BTW nice numbers, maybe next week we'll see what you can put down at the track.

I'll have to get Aaron, Nate, or Scott to try and post the graph. Since I can't find my digital camera I can't post it. I had D2 Motorsports do my headwork because the previous owner wrecked the vehicle. When they ripped the heads apart the stock valves were slightly burned and bent. So I got bigger valves, port & polish, and I forgot to mention that I had a 5-angle valve job also. I mostly had them do the work for the future once I upgrade the turbo. Then it should really make a difference.

Also I don't know if its just me getting used to the way the car is making power now, but it kinda feels like I still get that surge at 5000 RPM. Do you still get that Killian?

They say it needs a whole tank of gas for it to learn. So drive it like you would normally drive it and you should be fine.

Oh ok. Nate told me to just drive it like I normally would but he didn't tell me I needed a full tank of gas. I'm still on the gas from yesterday. So are you just pulling my tail or is it for real?

No that's why I was told. Roughly a full tank of gas. (or until the next fill up)
But yea after that tank. My MPG per tank full went up buy 30 miles! :banana:

I use to go 300 miles on a full 14 gallon tank. Now I do about 340-350

Sweet!

When I read what he posted he was making in this thread, I thought all he had was uppipe and TBE. Now it explains his higher whp because he is also running the IC hoses, turbo inlet, and crank pulley. I can't wait to go back there with those mods and a better flowing downpipe. I thought modding was addictive; dyno tuning with mods is even more!
