Should I be worried?

Sooooo I went stage 2 last week and I'm paranoid something is going to blow up.

Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

Oil residue on one of the lines. I am standing on the passenger side looking down on the turbo and downpipe. The logs look good and the car feels good overall, but I don't remember seeing this extra oil when I started the downpipe install.

Looks to me like its been there for awhile. You didn't mess with the oil feed while you were installing the downpipe did you? You don't want that oil feed leaking, but it's not exactly in need of urgent repair. You should check to make sure it's torqued to spec, hopefully you'll get 1/8 of a turn or so and be able to stop the leak. Also, wipe the residue off that's on there now so you can keep tabs on it.

wipe it clean, and keep an eye on it. Then you will be able to tell if its leaking from there or not.

It could be left over PB Blaster/WD40 from spraying the nuts/bolts on the downpipe and it just collected dirt.

Nope, didn't touch the sucker. I couldn't find anything on the forums last night, but did some searching and found this thread:

replace the copper crush washers on it and double check that hardline for cracks, they always go out, if thats the case replace it with a stainles steel braided line for under 50 bucks
does this sound about right?

I am going to clean it up today now that I have some time (telecommute day).

Might be PB Blaster, didn't consider that.

You can always head out to the meet tonight and a few heads can poke around and try to spot anything out of the ordinary too

that was my other thought too but I wanted to avoid driving as much as possible until i had this checked out. sounds like i'm worrying over nothing though.

might be down for the meat. didn't go last week like i wanted to, and since i'm telecommuting today I wouldn't have to drive all over the freaking map!

Yea I wouldn't worry. Just keep an eye on it. If you're teleworking you should go wipe it off and start your car up. Let it idle for a bit and see what happens. Perhaps ill come out tonight too, I could go for a pie and a pitcher... I think the meet is at Round Table... better check.

wiped it down, used open-end wrench to tighten the bolt 1/8 of a turn. hoping for profit.

11.6 ft/lbs

Better get good at finding info like that if you plan to work on your car at all.
