OK, seriously.....what the hell?
So, check this **** out.
Blew my headgaskets Thursday night.
About 10 miles from home.
12/14/2006.
Car is at 240k, almost on the dot.
Ed lent me his Tacoma until I can get it up and running. If it's not back in a few weeks, i'll have a second Subaru wagon at my disposal (the red car)
About 4 years ago, I was in college and headed down to my GF's for Festivus break.
Blew my headgaskets pulling into town.
About 10 miles from my GF's place.
12/14/2002.
120k on the odo.
Parents lent me their Tacoma until I could get it up and running. It wasn't back in a few weeks, so the dealer gave me a Subaru wagon.
*tinfoil hat*

The EJ25's fail internally, so it's probably just one of them. The motor's done, though (you've all heard it
) so it's just throwing good money after bad to try to rebuild it. When one goes, the other isn't far behind, not least because any overheating will warp both heads.

Little of column A, little of column B. JDM longblock with new HG's and seals, usually <60k miles on them. Bench tested and all that, so if it doesn't pop immediately under the warranty, should be good for a while.

I'm buying an STi, no need to swap this old thing, just get a motor in to make it a decent DD again.
