There are devices that allow you to add intermitent functionality to wipers that only have continous (Low/High) options from the factory.
They have a **** (potentiometer aka pot) that controls the delay between wiper activation.

 

I cried myself to sleep last night after reading this. Then this morning I decided to hatechu again while driving through some thick fog on Grant Line and South Sunrise.

 

I just took my conversion in and got it smogged. Mind I have a REF sticker so this may need to be taken in for account.

I had no problem with the visual and got plenty of complements on the conversion. It did initially fail the monitor test....as I had the battery pulled (due to storage) and it needed to be run a couple of days to get a log compiled in the ECU, and allow some speratic (& false) cel lights to clear out...something to do with the car sitting for so long without power....I guess.

Basically it all matters where you take the car to get it smogged and how **** the technician is. One thing for certain....make sure that the place is a "TEST-ONLY" inspection center....as the places that are authorized to test and repair tend to "find" problems and then charge you to fix them.
