Single shear is to be avoided whenever possible; sometimes, you just gotta do it.

Well, the way the center brackets are bolted to the rear end brackets loads the bolts in shear, and the stress for the trailing link is in the foreward to aft direction. This loads the bolts in single shear, because the end bracket is not supported on both sides by the center piece. The only way to do that IMO is to use a double shear, the end bracket supported on both sides by the center bracket. A good example is how the strut bolts to the hub, that is a double shear connection.
The other problem is the four or five bolts used to connect each end is a poor design. Basically, it loads the bolts unevenly, so the one closest to the center piece has the highest stress. Maybe Oaf can chime in here.
That, and the possibility of the bolts loosening is more than I'd like. At a minimum, I'd safety wire all of the bolts.
Personally, I'd make the links tubular, similar to the Cusco ones. It kind of looks like something that was slapped together from spare parts to me.

For more engineering stuff and how it applies to racing/performance, a good book is Carroll Smith's Nuts, Bolts, Fasteners, and Plumbing Handbook. I've had a copy for many years and if anyone ever wants to read up on fasteners and fatigue strength and other neat tech/geek things, PM me and I'll loan it out.
The book delves into issues like the aforementioned single and double-shear, as well as why drilling holes in steel plate subjected to tensile loading (like a brake rotor) results in a much weaker piece.

Install fest at my house Saturday, 4/2 11am or shortly thereafter. I'll be doing coilovers and Lance will be doing front endlinks. If anyone else has stuff to install, feel free to drop by.

All done for now. The lateral links still need to go in, then it's off to Roger Kraus for alignment and corner weighting.
Thanks to dz and Lowball for the extra sets of hands. It made life much easier.
