I may or may not be looking for Vista Ultimate edition and a valid corporate key to go with it. I also may or may not be looking for a corporate version of Office 2007.

 

I don't think corporates get teh ultimate. I could be wrong though.

Amazon is selling 'limited edition' 'autographed' versions of Ultimate upgrade.

How is Vista deployed in the corporate environment? Does a company receive one corporate key that can be used on multiple machines, or do they have to purchase multiple license keys? Is there a corporate key for Ultimate edition?

 

They get software. They buy a bunch of licenses. The boxes report to the license server on site. The on site license server reports to MS.

There are some hacks that involve using VM Ware as the licesne server. I think the boxes need to re-auth every six months when using volume license keys now.
