These guys offer a service to extract the pre-crash data from your GM car.

We stumbled on to this post during a Google search.....
Not so fast....I would be willing to bet the Subarus also record crash data.
The dealers have no idea about crash data. The factory scan tools cannot collect crash data.
I bet Subaru Legal or Engineering has a way to collect black box data.
Most air bag systems DO record data.
Most owners, technicians, dealers, etc are not aware of it....
So far....only GM and Ford have released the access to Vetronix. Toyota and Chrysler are also going to allow access to the data.

Hmmmmm.... I guess it's not really an issue until I hear of case where a subaru pilot has info like this used against them.
