Does anyone have a good link for the torque procedure for the heads. I forgot to look it up at work today.

Yea seems a lot of people see the pulleys sieze.

Haven't touched a head gasket in awhile so not completely sure. Sure you could find it around though. Good seeing you at Subaru picking up that block though man.

Never heard of this before. Is it 2.5L specific? How do you know it is Gates and not Subaru? What about install error?

I don't know any of these stories either, but having had a terrible experience with Gates on an 05 STi I also hesitate to use it over OEM

I've only heard of one incident personally. But reading quite a few threads, I've noticed most people usually say to stay away..

Just figured Jeff gets a good enough discount on parts, why not just stick all oem.

The Gates kit was actually really similar, all of the idler pulleys were the same brand as the OEM ones that came off my car, the only thing that was different was the tensioner. Motor is back together... errr except timing belt/cover and clutch, waiting on a rear cover and a pilot and throwout bearing then it goes back in.
