Do you have any test results that's showing how your tires compare to the others?

For autocross purposes, the one to have is the 235. It's legal for STU, fits on the stock STi wheels and is generally, uhhh, WIDER.

Sign me up as definitely interested in a set of 235/40/17's. Now...let's talk pricing...

HI everyone,

I am still waiting for imprezer's reply for the GB. If we can make it happen. I will be able to provide you the SS595 or 595RS (NEW TIRE) at a very low price for racer use.
Please wait for my good news.
At the same time, if you guys could give me some good idea of what is the lowest price that you could get for those Max. performance tire. That will help me us to set the price more attractive.

When the Falken RT-215's came out, their best selling point (until everybody found out how great they were) was the price. Around 70-80 dollars for a 17" tire, IIRC. As soon as everybody started winning trophies with them, the price started to climb, although they were still a definite bargain for what you got. I think Falken had a pretty good business model, and ended up making a lot of loyal customers. Look how many folks are using the new RT-615's, even though they don't appear to be quite as good as the old ones.

In my opinion, for an "untested"(at least in solo II competition) new tire, I think $75 is a pretty attractive pricepoint.

That said, if you could get them out for ~$50 a tire, you would certainly get a lot more new customers!

Do you mean 225/45ZR17 for 70~80 dollars? Could you tell me is this the retail or end user price? If that is the end user price, could you tell me where to get it? Through GB or you have to buy more than 8 pcs at a time from a tire shop or through internet? I need to find out what is the volume for this great price? Thnak you for the information.

When the falken azenis rt-215 was brand new, they sold for about $70 for 225/40/17 at the tire rack, as well as other retailers. The price soon rose to around $100, and now the rt-615 is even more.

I think Falken was trying to penetrate the market and make people switch from BFG g-force KD's, and it worked. Now, to get everybody to switch from Falkens / Kumho MX's, a competitive tire would have to be cheaper than those.

right now, retail pricing...
MX's go for $130 in 235/45/17
rt-615's go for $140 in 225/45/17

Tks, mrruins. Where did you get the SS595? What is your feedback? This 595RS is much better than SS595.
When did you get the RT215 from tirerack? Sorry to ask that but tirerack is no loger selling Falken.
