Seriously, you need to do your research before you criticize someone with facts pulled out of your ***. The Mexican N & S distinction may have originated in Mexico, but since these people are now in America, they seem to have carried over the tradition and instituted the segrational attitude in California.

Also, I qualify students as poor people as well. So if you rode the Big Blue Bus while you were in Westwood, then you would have a totally different picture than if you hopped on the RTD #20 at Wilshire and Westwood and rode it into downtown. And the people that ride the Metro into L.A. from the surrounding suburbs are "poor" by L.A. standards, which is why they live so far away to begin with.

And, being an alumnus of UCLA, you should know better than me how many PAC 10 championships UCLA won in the 90's.

Listen to your own advice; the distinction STILL refers to where their family was from in Mexico. I'm very sure of this.

Let me guess, you're from Altadena aren't you. Have you ever heard of the phrase 'stuck up'?

Yeah, I know how great UCLA is. It has a lot to do with the students, and not so much the location.

Dude, seriously, mind your own business. The fact that the word itself seems to be getting old is NOT the point; IT is actually what the word is being used to respond to. Fire with Fire.

If you had read the entire thread then you would know that I'm from Santa Monica. And when I get a chance, I'll post a link to the East Bay Express article I mentioned so that you can be enlightened.

p.s. I think that a few Nobel Laureates may have something to say about UCLA greatness.

p.p.s. "rudementary" is actually spelled rudimentary. But I suppose it's not your fault, with public schools being the way they are and all.

You sure you're not from the bay area, because you definitely appear to be a Norcal-er. And if you don't understand what I mean by "poor," then it seems that you don't know anything about L.A. snobbery. As if the people in San Marino or Chino Hills can really be called poor. Seriously. Since you're obviously obtuse, go learn what the word facetious means; then you'll know when someone is being that way.

p.s. who's being the "retard" now? I suggest you read the picture that you yourself posted.

Please send me the link, I'll give it to my friends who grew up in the surenos (as in sur, or south...yes, I can point out your spelling mistakes too...) and see what they think...seeing as they are surenos because their parents are from oaxaca.

Your PS doesn't make sense...there are nobel laureates on faculty at UCLA, I'm sure they think it's great...for its academics, not its location.

If you want to compare academic shlongs, I'll make you look prepubecent, even with my 'meager' public education.

This is over...the norcal v socal argument was fun, but this clown took all the fun out of it for me...
