The Western States Rally Championship (WSRC) readies for 2005 Season
The WSRC is pleased to announce that Alan Perry has agreed to become Chairman of the Championship for 2005. Current Chairman John Dillon's 2-year term is up as of the end of the year. He will remain as past-chair to assist the new Chairman in assuming new duties starting with finalizing the 2005 WSRC points schedule. The selection of the Chairman along with other positions was passed by a vote of the member events and organizing committee.
The WSRC is also pleased to announce that Denise McMahon has agreed to accept the position of Worker Coordinator. Her duties will be to represent the worker's viewpoint and issues at the board level. Denise has extensive involvement in rallying at all levels in Southern California.
Paul Eklund has agreed to act as PR Coordinator to help get news about the WSRC out to magazines, blogs and other news outlets. He is a WSRC competitor and also writes for motorsports magazines.

There is one board member position up for grabs. Wolfgang Hoeck has announced that he needs a replacement as webmaster as new job duties are keeping him from updating as promptly as he would like. Please contact chairman@wsrally.org to volunteer for the Board position as webmaster.
Other open issues for the WSRC are when and how much dues to collect from event organizers to help fund year-end trophies and conference call costs, when to expand the championship to include Canadian and/or Mexican events and how to unify worker points databases. The list of current points for drivers, co-drivers and workers is at: www.wsrally.org
