Screw the Bay area, I'm moving to Oregon!

That's all. I'm done living in the Bay area. I'm moving to Oregon in January. Probably Beaverton, not sure yet. need to live within driving range of dealerships for work purposes. I've got to get out of California, it sucks. Whats some good places/towns to go apratment hunting in or around the Portland area? Or if you have somewhere else that rocks, let me know!

I'd sincerely suggest southern oregon- there is a dealership in Medford (Southern Oregon Subaru/Volvo/Mitsubishi)
I've lived in Oregon all my life- I was born in Portland, moved to the coast-and go to school in Ashland (15 minutes south of medford on I-5) I'd say southern oregon is the best place to live in this state. The real estate is expensive (esp in Ashland), but property values are still rising rapidly (if interested in investment) The weather is awesome and much less traffic in the Medford area as compared to Portland-metro area.
