Here is a years worth of progress on the body panels At least we get this project can be completed soon (hopefully) and we can get them installed. All I know is the fitment better be spectacular. All frustrations aside, it will be very nice to get these installed, painted, and tubbing of the fender wells complete so I can focus on other areas of the build.

Slowly making progress on the widebody.



And pics of the MSI goodness. MSI billet lateral links with spherical bearing and MSI rear sway bar end links with spherical bearings. I can not wait to purchase the subframe. The parts have had perfect fitment and the attention to detail and fit is apparent. Definitely worth the money for a part that won't fail quickly, easy to adjust, and have a spherical bearing that will not quickly wear out. I could not believe how quickly the Whiteline spherical bearings wore out in the end links I had run previously on the car.

And new hotness installed. I just found these photos and realized I've been lagging for a while. Installed the parts a few months ago and for right now running the same spring rates as Yazel did (11K/8K) when he was running the suspension package. All I can say is they feel absolutely amazing for the amount of spring rate that is in use. The setup provides amazing platform control, firm for low speed damping control for body motion, but absolutely soaks up pavement irregularities while driving. Definitely feels faster on the local floggings I have done, but I have not yet been able to take it to the track yet. Absolutely amazing set of dampers, and rides better with considerable higher spring rates than my previous setup, as well as the other local setups I have been in. Just driving on normal roads as a daily driver, I am absolutely blown away by the performance of these dampers.

Some more pictures of the widebody rear fenders. You can get an idea of the interface lines of the parts and how they mount up to the body. The black coat is a coat they use to sand down to eliminate any high points or wavy surfaces. Then they do the final paint/sand and polish that they use to make a mold to produce the carbon parts. Hopefully we're making progress and will be at the fabricators very soon....

Finally got around to re installing my x brace after installing the JRZ's. I absolutely love this x brace, amazing product and I am so glad Turn in Concepts brought it back onto the market. I've used front and rear strut tower braces before, and never felt a difference like the x-brace. The rear of the car feels so much more secure and rigid while cornering, and there is a dramatic decrease in noise from the rear of the car. Its just one of those parts that you would never think as big of a difference as it does until you try it and then think whoa, I should have done this so much sooner. So finally got it back in, and still waiting for any updates on the widebody.

Love coming on here every so often. I've debated that x brace. It goes and mounts inwards on the rear passenger compartment correct?

Highly recommend the product. Installs on the forward edge of the trunk and the rear seats completely cover the product. Very unobtrusive but highly functional.

It has been a while but the project is not dead, just took a long time for the body parts to be produced. I have been waiting on the body parts, and was getting frustrated sitting around twiddling my thumbs waiting for quality parts to be produced and arrive so I had to try and ignore the car. Rumor is we are on the final stretch in the production of the body parts, so hopefully I don't jinx this by throwing up some pics.

Door mold is completed for the parts. Doors will be produced with a honeycomb core and a wet lay up of carbon panels, then vacuum bagged to remove as much weight and unnecessary resin as possible while producing the strongest possible part (without going dry carbon as I could not find anyone to produce my custom project in dry carbon).

Pics show the added width of the widebody, which starts widening at the rear doors. Think we aimed for 70 mm wider but it's been so long I would have to recheck my notes. Molds are being produced, made completely smooth as any imperfections will be directly transferred to the carbon lay up, then the carbon pieces are taken from the mold.

Rear doors almost ready for the high gloss black coat. After that if surface is perfect a mold can be pulled to lay up the carbon panels. I think the panels are looking pretty clean and the body lines should be functional and clean.
