Project "One Eyed Suby"

Well when I purchased this 02 WRX in October it had one bug eye.....So the name became "One Eyed Suby"! The guy I bought it from crashed the car into the back of a semi truck. Taking out the hood, the fender, and inner fender, the A-pillar, and radiator support. But he didnt hit the supension whatsover!!! I drove the car from the guys house, I even though in an E-brake slide.
I wanted to show everyone the amount of work that me and my friend Jeremy (06blackwrxtr) have put into this thing over the last couple of months.

This is what it looked like when I got it!

You can really see the damage to the inner fenders in this picture!

Here is a picture of us transporting it home!

Well the first step was to plasma cut all the bad sheet metal......kids dont try this at home!!! The A-pillar was a scary fix! We decided to splice it using a new a-pillar. This way it kept all the geometry in tact.

Below is the welded-in new A-Pillar

Back from SEMA with spoils!!

Uhoh aparantly the previous owner liked bondo.
Only one thing left to do.

There was over a gallon of Bondo on this panel to fill a few small dents. They had actually bumped the door out 1/2" to meet there BONDO molded wide body kit. An hour of grinding a few laughs and beers, stud puller, 4 cups of body filler later and no prob.

After months of waiting the Hood arrives!
Also the factory antenna holes were welded in and shaved.

A smile only a hood scoop that eats small children and grates large amounts of cheese can bring!!
