i got tired looking at the debadge trunk so I installed the old subaru emblem

 

grimmspeed upipe ceramic coat is coming off so i repainted it with vht paint can ceramic coat

not bad .

 

installed the oe headlight assembly . i might put the morrettes for sale.

 

some update . got a 04 wrx heads from a local subaru performance shop and picked up a sti cams .

 

still playing with the jdm ej205 .stock bvp cant hold 22 psi , got a dual port turbosmart 50/50 on full recir.

 

Getting ready to get the head cleaned and resurface . removing all the valve train components . I need to change couple of valves due to pitting and rust around the valve stem. this build is getting expensive, ouch

 

Tapped and plugged the sti cams avcs hole.

 

blended the bowl and valve seat overhang .

 

Did some port and cleaning on intake and exhaust s20 head. ordered manley springs and retainers. for the the valves I'm getting supertech ss intake and inconel exhaust valve std.

got the heads back from the machine shop. Thanks to Clark auto machine shop, fast turnaround.

 

machine shop replaced all the valve guides and set valve lash set to .008 intake and .010 exhaust.

 

installed oem head gasket.

Torque ARP head studs bolts to 50-70-90 ft lbs




oem 10mm oil pump with all the bolts

need to recheck the valve lash ,but forgot my feeler gauge at work.
