Looking to get some opinions on wheels for WRB with gold brembos for some contrast. If i end up with gold wheels i'll likely paint the brembos black. I know with almost all these wheels i'll need a fender roll at the very least.

Last option and the most adventurous is SVN-R 18x10 +30 in Titanium chrome. This one will require the most amount of money and work since i'll need control arms that are adjustable for rear camber but i think the look will be worth it. Not sure if i really want to go this extreme with the fenders though.

I originally wanted NT03's as well in sbc finish i think i told you but the wait for a 5x100 set is totally lame. I decided just to be cheaps and look into Rota's. Car is just a daily.

Thanks bro, I need to find time to install all the crap though. I wanted to order the wheel but i figured i can hold off and get more suspension bushings instead heh. It's still on the list though! JDM visors were ordered from my local dealer. Rallysportdirect sells them for 99.99 but my dealer price matched online so i got them for 79.99

Sorry if I missed it, but how much power are you making now?

Perhaps if you're making lots of power, then you should pick the wheels that will let you put the widest tires without too much fuss?

I haven't posted a dyno because i haven't got dynoed officially yet. There is a few cars on 3GWRX that have similar set ups then mine and put down really good numbers on 91.

Here is a dyno sheet from someone who has a similar mod list to me and got dynoed on Cobb's Mustang dyno down in LA.

Differences in power mods that i have are Forge BPV / AEM intake / Invidia catless DP / Invidia Q300 / DW65C Fuel pump / One step colder plugs/

His tune is also 19psi while mine is 20psi. I should have slightly more power since i'm catless and have a few other mods but that's a rough idea of where i should be. Cobb mislabeled his car as a STi it is not. He even acknowledges it in his thread he made here: http://www.3gwrx.com/forum/index.php?topic=23829.0

Once i jump to E85 the power should easily be around 330ish whp and 350ish wtq probably more but i won't be pushing the tq too high. I know when our newer transmissions start not to be reliable thanks to xluben on nasioc. There has only been two reported cases of the newer 08+ transmissions blowing but that is because the people who owned the cars were pushing the limits. Both cars had very high torque over 400 and would flat foot shift up the ***. One was a drag racer and was pushing to get his car in the 10's at the strip and the other was just crazy and pushed his transmission to 490wtq and it lasted for 6,000 miles of abuse lol. So they aren't fragile but i also won't be going nuts like that. I'll honestly be happy with 350hp/370tq that's my goal for the car.

So as you see not a lot of power that needs super amounts of tire lol, but i also am not into the whole slammed/stretched/poked tire thing anymore. Don't care about being in shows or getting shot for websites ect anymore. Been there done that.

I want function with a decent drop. I want to be able to take my car to Tahoe eventually and not give a crap.

Something like this should suffice for me with 255/40/18 sized tires.

Sounds like a 9.5" wide wheel with 255 or 265 seems to be perfect for you. That's what *I* would do

......and a different set of wheels with all-seasons to use when heading to Tahoe during snow season.

If you want to be able to bring it to Tahoe during snow season, you'll probably want an extra set of wheels to have all-seasons/winter tires on, though.
That's exactly what i'm leaning towards. I think i'm just going to keep my stock wheels for this exact reason. Thanks for the advice

Got dynoed today on EQ's heart breaker dyno. Obviously i was hoping for a bit more power but i hear Cobb's mustang reads higher then a lot of other mustang dynos. I've attached numbers from other stock cars dynoed on EQ's dyno.

Put down 264awhp and 277awtq on 91 octane in 103 degree heat.

According to Ed i have a lot of power left on the table, my tune is very rich and can pull another 20hp very easy.

This dyno reads low and should be compared to the lower reading mustang dynos. Here are some proven numbers and trap speeds for reference:

Stock 02-05 WRX - 155-165whp
Stock 04-07 STI - 215-220whp
Stock 08-11 STI - 190-200whp

265-275whp - 107-108mph traps
300-310whp - 112-113mph traps
325-335whp - 115-116mph traps
350-360whp - 118-120mph traps

Guess i can't complain with 64whp/77wtq over stock with stage 2+ mods on 91.
