I don't have a link or DIY, IIRC there might be something on scoobymods...

It's the first mod I did to the car, and have been in love with the look ever since. Not very difficult, you take the headliner out (remove dome light, map light, sun visors, grab handles) Then you loosen 2 bolts on each mounting point from inside the car, and plug the holes with a special bolt/rubber washer thing that you can find at most hardware stores.

Word of caution, and probably why not many people remove the rails...you have to replace the black molding strips on the roof. Subaru cuts a 4" section where each of the rails mount. I didn't realize this until I had the headliner torn out and the rails off, so I was stuck paying ~$140 at the dealership to replace the moldings. Still worth it IMO, but pricey.

yeah.. that is the front end that I want for mine. I have the unpainted grill, but the headlights are expensive... so they will come later
